Maren Krings is photographer and author and hemp industry consultant, with bases in Germany and Austria. Her photographic work entails documentary photography and visual-storytelling with focus on environmental concerns and sustainability. Since 2016 she conducts international research on the topic of the hemp plant as transformer to a more sustainable future. This long-term project has lead her through the world since 2016, to study and document the use and rediscovery of the hemp plant. Her work is being published in many international magazines and her fourth book is well underway. Her commissioned work is in the field of sustainability-reportages and travel documentary work. Coming from an official background of Art School she has been engaging in teaching assignments and had several international traveling exhibitions since 1999.
